Frank Bellamy started Ironwood with one truck and a borrowed compressor in 2003. The first project was a back deck in West Asheville. The second was the neighbor's kitchen. Twenty years and 200+ projects later, more than 70% of our work still comes from past clients and their referrals.

We've stayed deliberately small — 14 full-time crew and a long-standing network of trade partners. That size lets us self-perform the work that matters most (framing, finish carpentry, project management) and stay genuinely accountable for everything we put our name on.

We believe a great builder shows up when they say they will, prices honestly, and leaves the site cleaner than they found it. Boring stuff. It works.
